ESHRE has appointed new editors-in-chief for two of its four journals

Nils Lambalk, appointed as EiC of Human Reproduction in 2018 will be succeeded by Kirstine Kirkegaard and Christopher Barratt.
Madelon van Wely will become the new EiC of Human Reproduction Update, succeeding Arne Sunde following completion of two three-year terms.
Michele Boiani and Edgardo Somigliana remain in place as EiCs of Molecular Human Reproduction and Human Reproduction Open.

Infertility linked to onset of systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease after childbirth

Women who experience infertility but do not use fertility treatments have a higher risk of developing a group of conditions called systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases (SARD) in the nine years after a naturally conceived birth compared to women without fertility problems.

New ESHRE position paper on gamete donor compensation published

Following the EU's new Substances of Human Origin (SoHO) Regulation, ESHRE has developed a position paper that highlights relevant ethical aspects related to gamete donor compensation and provides recommendations for Member States to take into account when setting upper limits.

Update of the Evidence based guideline on Premature Ovarian Insufficiency – now published

Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) presents a significant challenge to women's health, with far-reaching implications, both physically and emotionally. To improve the care of women with POI, an international expert group, including representation from ESHRE, ASRM, CRE-WHiRL and IMS collaborated to address 40 key questions through 145 recommendations.
For professionals involved in the care for women with POI, this is a must-read document.
