Dr Alexandra Claire Benoit
Alexandra BENOIT is a midwife specialized in reproductive medicine and fertility preservation. Graduated from the Faculty of Maieutics Lyon Sud-Charles Mérieux, she started in 2012 at the University Hospital Jean Verdier in France where she was initially involved in the clinical activities of prenatal diagnosis center and of unit of reproductive medicine. In 2013, she obtained a university degree in ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology and a master’s degree in prenatal diagnosis. She is experienced in ultrasound scan infertility. From 2017, she works at the center for reproductive medicine and fertility preservation at the University Hospital Antoine Beclere in France under the guidance of Professor Grynberg. She is the co-ordinator of patient-care centred female fertility preservation and she is involved in clinical activity in Assisted Reproductive Technologies. She has strong experience in the development of patient pathways and in the care and support for women with medical indications for fertility preservation. In 2019, she had her PhD in clinical research and public health at the University of Caen in France for which she won a research grant from the Agency of Biomedicine in France. Her PhD thesis focused on the development and assessment of a web-based decision aid of female fertility preservation for women with breast cancer. In 2020 she received an 'ESHRE nurse/midwife award’ for her work in patient-driven fertility care interventions which are able to improve a patient’s clinical experience and comprehension. She also teaches master’s students about infertility, ultrasound scan female infertility and public health.
