ESHRE Webinar: Cryopreservation

The future of cryopreservation with ultra rapid vitrification

ESHRE Webinar

organised by the ESHRE Special Interest Group Embryology

Type

Advanced

Learning objectives

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the new vitrification protocols and their success rates.

Course description

Over the years, vitrification has become the preferred method for cryopreserving oocytes and embryos. Recently, protocols with shorter vitrification times have emerged, but are the success rates comparable?, Are our laboratories ready to adopt these protocols?, What changes would this bring? are all questions that will be explored during this webinar, shedding light on the potential implications of adopting these new protocols.

Target audience

Embryologists, ART technicians, researchers, clinicians and other personnel involved in reproductive medicine and ART

Needs assessment

Studies have been published using different vitrification and devitrification protocols. Given that this is one of the most commonly used techniques in laboratories, it is essential for participants to understand these changes, assess whether the success rates are comparable and stay informed about the latest advancements in cryopreservation.

Expected educational outcomes

Participants will gain comprehensive insights into the latest advancements in vitrification, including updates on protocols, success rates and their potential impact on laboratory practices.
