Claudia Massarotti
I was born and raised in Pavia, Italy, where I attended medical school. I now live in Genoa where I am finishing my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in a few months. During my training I developed a strong interest in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, pursued also through clinical and basic research focused on oncofertility, fertility preservation, and endometriosis.
My name is Claudia, I am a doctor, and I live in the beautiful city of Genoa, Italy, where I am finishing my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in a few months. I am passionate about Reproductive Medicine, an unique and ever-evolving field that gives us the privilege to really stand with couples during joyful and difficult times of their lives. I hold a special interest mainly in fertility preservation, oncofertility and endometriosis. I strongly believe that is our responsibility as physicians to create fertility awareness, since empowerment is possible only through education. Therefore, I join with great enthusiasm the Young Ambassador initiative, meant to better spread evidence-based and verified information, with the help of social media. I am really passionate about research, which I consider an essential foundation of our everyday clinical activity, and I am excited to contribute to its dissemination with my new role as a member of the ESHRE5.
In my free time, I love to read to recharge: I am avid and omnivore reader, with a special love for Russian literature. When not working, I am usually doing long impromptu road trips with my partner to discover unusual places. I also am a natural wines enthusiast, and I love to visit vineyards and learn everything about wine making, especially from young female vignerons.
