“In one word, I have found the last months uncanny. Amidst all the deaths and depths of suffering that we see across the world and in our own communities, helping couples to complete their families has been a hidden blessing. Babies are like a ray of sunshine in this darkness, reminding us that not all is lost. Nonetheless, of course many patients have had to suspend their IVF treatments for the greater good, and this has been frustrating for both us and the couples we treat. My biggest worry about this pandemic is the stress it can cause in all of us, the immunological burden of which is the last thing any of us need right now.”
