Last updated: 6 September 2023
1. The application
1.1 Application for ESHRE nurses and midwives certification is available to ESHRE members only.
1.2 Online Application for the 2024 exam will be available from 4 October 2023 and electronic application forms must be submitted by 2359 (CET ) on 31 January 2024. Submitted applications, for which the exam fee has been received, will be reviewed by the Nursing & Midwives Certification Steering Committee during February and March 2024, following which, all applicants will be informed whether their application to sit the exam has been approved.
1.3 Communications regarding applications will be sent via the application platform only. It is therefore the responsibility of applicants’ to check their messages/emails on a regular basis in the event additional information/documents are required which must be submitted ahead of the deadline (and within a maximum of 7 calendar days following the date of message received).
2. Degrees
2.1 The Nurses & Midwives Certification Steering Committee requires independent validation (approval) of academic awards/degrees. Applicants should hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent and have this validated by EP-NUFFIC (the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education, http://www.epnuffic.nl/en). When making credential evaluation, EP-NUFFIC uses the criteria and procedures considered as 'good practice' by the Lisbon Recognition Convention.
Only validated academic qualifications/degrees will be approved for exam entry. The validation process will be coordinated by ESHRE and the costs are included in the exam fee.
The EP-NUFFIC validation report will be uploaded to the applicant’s personal account.
Missing, incomplete or incorrect information/document will cause a delay in the validation process. If EP-NUFFIC validation is not obtained by 31 March 2024, the application will be declined and the applicant will not be eligible to take the 2024 examination.
2.2 Relevant academic qualifications/degrees (including academic transcripts) must be translated officially** in English and submitted together with CV according to the Europass format in ENGLISH (alternative formats will NOT be accepted) in the online application form, which will be forwarded to EP-NUFFIC for validation.
We therefore advise that applicants check with EP-NUFFIC regarding the need for an official English translation of academic qualification/s before uploading to the ESHRE website.
**official translation = translation by a certified translator, a notary, university or alternative academic institution.
2.3 Applicants must be able, if requested, to provide ESHRE with originals or verified copies of results of degrees/ additional valid documentation.
2.4 The name stated on your ID/passport should be the same as the one on your diploma. If your name has changed and a different name appears on the documents you are uploading, a copy of your marriage certificate or any other relevant document will be required.
