Course description

The availability of several options for testing and treating infertility, including add-on procedures, may carry benefits and risks. While some approaches can be applied widely, others may only help limited patient populations. This workshop will use lectures and head-to-head debates to explore the pros and cons of personalized medicine in reproduction. Consensus does already exist for some aims, namely to improve the quality of care for patients with infertility, to enhance live birth rates, to decrease the risk of miscarriage, and to increase the time to live birth.

Target audience

Clinicians, embryologists, psychologists, nurses, laboratory technicians, researchers and all those interested in discussing supplementary options available to patients in addition to standard fertility tests and treatments.

Educational needs and expected educational outcomes

There is a need to individualise ART for patients but there are still knowledge gaps and a lack of consensus in many aspects of treatment. At the end of this workshop, participants should acquire a better understanding of the specific indications of different diagnostic and treatment procedures for infertility.

Innovative aspects of the course

A broad range of speakers with diverse knowledge and experience to share with participants.
