Course description
This precongress course will cover all aspects of recent advances in reproductive genetics testing from infertility investigation and preconception testing for infertility assessment to preimplantation genetic testing and fetal genetic diagnosis. Each session will be composed of one lecture on current standard practices and one on innovative applications under development.
Target audience
Reproductive geneticists, gynaecologists, andrologists , embryologists, nurses, obstetrics
Educational needs and expected outcomes
In this fast-growing field, with a great number of tests being commercially available in Reproductive genetics, it is of high importance to give an update on current practices and discuss their possible limitations. In this precongress course we will provide education about what is practiced based on evidence and clinical utility and a critical appraisal of what is under development and evaluation as potential new applications in reproductive genetics.
Participants will be able to gather information on the current advancements in reproductive genetics and critically assess their utility, validity, and possible limitations.
Innovative aspects of the course
Innovative genetic testing options will be discussed in this course for infertility assessment, preconception, and preimplantation testing, and finally for the fetal genetic diagnosis.
