EuMAR pilot study - for professionals
In this section, you will find instructions on how to access and use the EuMAR portal to submit data and request the Individual Reproductive Care Code (IRCC) and the ClinicSwitch Code; as well as pilot study information materials translated into the pilot countries’ national languages.
What is EuMAR
EuMAR is a three-year project aiming to create a cycle-by-cycle registry of medically assisted reproduction (MAR) treatments in the European Union. It is organised by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and co-funded by the EU.
The EuMAR registry is being tested in a pilot study from 1 July to 31 December 2024 in some clinics in Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, and Estonia. The EuMAR pilot study is a feasibility project aimed at testing different methods for the submission of cycle-by-cycle data on MAR treatments from EU Member States into a single registry. The pilot study will help us to identify challenges and best practices before the registry is extended to all European countries. The two options of EuMAR's data flow model will be tested during the pilot study. Germany and Portugal will send data via their existing national registry via an Application Programming Interface (API), while clincs in Slovenia and Estonia will submit data directly to EuMAR, either via an API or manually through the EuMAR portal.
MAR professionals play a fundamental role in the pilot study, from foundation to execution, by actively engaging into the project submitting data, informing patients and providing feedback to the EuMAR team.
