Current practice to maintain ideal temperature
• It’s still advisable to maintain a constant temperature of 37˚C when handling human oocytes & embryos
• When setting the temperature of any heated stage or tube warmer, it’s important to take into account the actual temperature of the culture medium within the dish/tube itself since any air gap that may result in loss of thermal conductivity might cause the temperature decrease up to 34˚C
