Reported on 18 couples that underwent TESE-ICSI after >2 failed ICSI & sperm DNA fragmentation (>15% TUNEL)
Claim: No specific treatment for sperm DNA fragmentation (SDF) Hypothesis: SDF occurs after sperm leave the testis
Proposed Treatment: Use of testicular sperm for ICSI
Findings/Conclusions:
1.Less SDF in testicular vs. ejaculated sperm
2.Use of testicular sperm improved ICSI pregnancy outcomes
