Gene expression in the pregnant endometrium is influenced by embryonic phenotype
• Comparison of the secretome of decidual cells from normally developing or failing pregnancies show differences consistent with an important role in progression.
• Exposure of embryos in vitro to these secretomes shows that decidua releases subatances that can promote or block development..
