Immediately After Transfer: Checking the catheter
• Check that the embryo(s) is absent from the catheter ✓Place catheter tip into transfer medium and examine the tip
✓ Remove the syringe and examine the fluid as it flows from the tip ✓ Load the syringe with medium, reattach to hub of catheter ✓Flush catheter with medium
✓ Search the medium for the embryo(s)
• If present, notify the MD that the embryo(s) needs re-loading
• Ifabsent,notifytheMDthatthecatheteris“allclear”
• After transfer is done, complete all documentation
