SURGERY IS NOT FIRST TREATMENT OPTION
In patients wishing to conceive the possibility of surgery has to be evaluated taking into account type, size and localization of lesion; previoustreatment failures.
Available data indicate a beneficial effect of surgery on the possibility to achieve a pregnancy
Pregnancy has to be considered as a pregnancy at high risk
Conservative Management of Adenomyosis- is this possible?
CONCLUSIONS
Hysteroscopy:
The combination of ultrasound, hysteroscopy and contrast sonography provides a strict definition of uterine normality
Subtle changes seems of importance !
Uterine exploration should not be restricted to the uterine cavity but should also include an exploration of the inner and outer myometrium.
