In vitro sperm are especially exposed and susceptible to damage
• Seminal plasma
- “Toxic”: in vivo, sperm get out asap
• During sperm preparation culture
- Control of Reactive Oxygen Species
- Induction of capacitation (must be well‐timed to assure maximal fertilization potential)
- DNA damage is a particularly significant risk
