At least 2 progenitor lineages of interstitium:
‐ coelomic epithelium (MAFB+) – will give rise to fetal Leydig cells (FLCs)
‐ gonad‐mesonephros border (C‐MAF+) – will give rise to non‐Leydig interstitial cells
Cell tracing – dye (from 18‐19ts) in the 3BHSD+ cells – FLCs from coelomic epithelium Mesonephros GFP+ ‐ marker in the 3BHSD+ cells – FLCs from the mesonpehros
