• Intracrine enzyme expression change during the menstrual cycle
• 17βHSD2 is induced by Progesterone in luteal phase (estradiol  estrone)
• EST is induced by Progesterone in luteal phase (estrone  estrone-sulfate)
• 3βHSD level is highest in mid-luteal phase endometrium
• Cycle / pregnancy-dependent levels shown in non-human primates
• Intra-tissue steroid level varies in a cycle-dependent way
