• Technically challenging
– Stabilize catheter in cervical canal
– Avoid unintentional passage into EM cavity
• While removing the speculum
• When introducing the vaginal transducer
• While passing loaded inner flexible catheter
• Anatomically limited space in some patients • Patient comfort must be considered
– May be more patient friendly than full bladder in some – Pre-screening for optimal selection
