hESC lines with 1q amplification (in complex karyotypes!)

• In vivo differentiation capacity ↘ and preference for ectoderm differentiation

↳ suggests selective advantage over euploid cells Yang et al., 2010; Varela et al., 2012
• 1q amplifications become enriched during neural differentiation
