Course description
Viral diseases are an ever-changing challenge to modern medicine. In this course, we will try to answer questions from everyday practice such as how to detect viral diseases and, once diagnosed, how to counsel the infertile couple regarding their infertility treatment, the health of their children and their own general health. The course will offer an update to our understanding in the process of immunisation in woman of reproductive age. We will focus not only on well-known infections such as HIV but also on rare viral infections. Last but not least, the course will provide an update on the new ESHRE guidelines on viral diseases
Target audience
Gynecologists, embryologists, nurses and basic scientists
Educational needs and expected outcomes
The course is intended to fill the current gaps in knowledge and practice regarding viral diseases and human reproduction.
