Follow‐up
• Endometrial sampling repeated after 6 months of progestin therapy:
– can be performed with IUD in place
• Regression of disease (within 6 – 12 months)
1. Repeat 1 or 2 biopsies to confirm:
– if normal mensesno biopsy requiredpursue pregnancy
– if abnormal uterine bleedingrepeat endometrial sampling
Follow‐up
• PersistentatypicalEH(within6–12months)
1. Combination of LNG‐IUD with oral progestin or increased
oral dosage
1. Repeat of endometrial sampling in 3 months (after therapy alteration):
– regression (non‐atypical EH)continue therapy repeat sampling until no EHpursue pregnancy
– persistent EH or cancerhysterectomy
