• A reproductive disorder that affects approximately 5%– 10% of reproductive aged women
• Women with PCOS are commonly seen in primary care, gynecology, and fertility centers

PCOS Characteristics
• ESHRE/ASRM Rotterdam Consensus- having at least 2 out of 3 of the following • Oligoovulation or anovulation
• Hyperandrogenism (clinical or biochemical)
• Polycystic ovarian morphology on ultrasound
and
• Exclusion of hyperandrogenism for other causes
• Other common features • Acne
• Insulin resistance • Dyslipidemia
• Overweight/obese
