Conclusions: the facts
• The main reasons for • travelling are legal
restrictions (socio‐cultural?) and inaccessibility due to characteristics
= Patients cross borders in order to avoid ‘unfriendly’ legislation
• HR legislation has increased autonomy (FI), may decrease need (eg France this year, but not enough Donors)
• Possible legal changes: some work in progress (Italy now allows gametes donation, difficult to build up recruitment)
• Continue data collection

• More access necessary treatment
• Escape restrictive law
• More autonomy for the patient
• Macro level: a question of equity?
• relinquishing « home support »
• legal/societal burden at

providers , surrogate
• shifting of needed local resources to the need of wealthier population from abroad in low income countries
