 The only form of endometriosis that cannot be identified without laparoscopy
 When assessing cause of dysmenorrhoea/pelvic pain:
– Rule out other causes
– Empiric diagnostic trial OC/GnRH agonist
– Non-response reduces probability of endometriosis being the cause of symptoms
