I prefer knowledge based medicine, or evidence informed medicine
• The couple does not need proof that a treatment works, the patient needs to be informed about the likelihood that a treatment works, and about the magnitude of the treatment effect
• Public systems might require more strict proof of effect than private systems
• Reliable information is a prerequisite, but we can share uncertainty with the couple
