EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
European reproductive patterns have changed in recent years and fertility rates have now become a matter of public health and economic development concern. As reproductive health professionals we must become more active in preventing infertility and giving accurate information not only to patients but also the entire population of reproductive age. For example, there is evidence that not only patients but also doctors lack knowledge and confidence regarding preconception counselling; and that ART treatment success rates are not successfully communicated. In order to transfer scientific knowledge in an effective way it is important that we learn how to create awareness and engage the general public.
