Association between fibroids & infertility: summary
• Few prospective controlled studies or randomised trials
• Ascertainment bias: few studies report hysteroscopic evaluation
of the uterine cavity
• No clear temporal relationship between fibroids and infertility
• Few studies are able to demonstrate benefit after myomectomy
• Results need to be interpreted with caution
